S20 Cabinets

Series 20

The Series 20 casework is ideal for offices, medical centers, assisted living homes and educational facilities. BASC, LLC utilizes H.P.D.L. (plastic laminate) for all exterior exposed surfaces with a color coordinated PVC edge to make clean lines rarely found in institutional casework. The hardware package used for Series 20 starts with an European 125 degree/170 degree hinge and a 100lb. drawer slide or a 150 lb. drawer slide for file drawers.

Doors - H.P.D.L. Plastic Laminate

  • Faces - H.P.D.L. plastic laminate bonded to particle board core using a polyvinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesive. All is backed with a H.P.L. cabinet liner balancing material to make a 3/4" nominal thickness door.
  • Edges - Edges - to be banded with color coordinated .020 PVC edge banding.
  • Hinges - European 125 concealed hinge. Three (3) hinges on doors over 36" high.
  • Pulls - standard 96mm dull chrome, meets A.D.A. requirements

Doors - Glass Style

  • Un-framed glass sliding doors have anodized aluminum track rolling door assembly. Framed glass is an available option.
  • Pulls - Routed finger pull in glass

Drawers

  • Fronts - H.P.D.L. plastic laminate bonded to particle board core using a polyvinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesive. All are backed with a H.P.L. cabinet liner balancing material to make a 3/4" nominal thickness door. Colors to be selected by the specifier.
  • Edges - To be banded with .020 matching PVC edge banding.
  • Drawer sides are made from 1/2" decorative panels doweled and glued into 3/4" decorative panel sub front and drawer back. Drawer bottoms are 1/2" decorative panel dadoed and glued into all four sides. A secondary hot melt glue is applied on bottom of drawer on all four sides for added strength. Top edges of drawer box all edge banded with matching .020 PVC.
  • Slides - 100 lb. drawer slide.
  • Slides for lateral file drawer - 150 lb. side mounted full extension ball bearing slide.
  • File drawers get the Pendaflex file suspension rails to support pendaflex style files.
  • Locks - five pin tumbler or disc lock.
  • Pulls - standard 96mm dull chrome, meets A.D.A. requirements.

Cabinet Box

  • End panels - 3/4" decorative panel, std. interior color white. Finished ends receive H.P.D.L. plastic laminate.
  • Backs - 1/2" decorative panel. Finished backs receive H.P.D.L. plastic laminate
  • Bottoms - 3/4" decorative panel

Countertops

  • Surfaces - Tops are H.P.D.L. laminated to particle board. Color to be selected by specifier.
  • Back splashes and front edges can be coved for easy maintenance.
  • Solid surfacing, Epoxy, Stainless steel are also available.

Shelves and Partitions

  • 3/4" decorative panel for shelves up to 31 -1/2", 1" used for over 31-1/2". Edged with matching .020 PVC edge banding at front. Shelves are adjustable by a movable clip which fits into a 5mm system holes in 32mm (1-1/2') increments.

Top at Walls and Tall Units

  • 3/4" decorative panel. Front is edged PVC edge banding.

Fillers / Scribes

  • H.P.D.L. laminate bonded to 3/4" particle board. H.P.D.L. laminate to match adjacent cabinet(s)

Stretchers

  • 3/4" x 4" particle board rails with front and back of cabinet back.

Toe Boards

  • Manufactured per cabinet by extending ends to floor. Particle board face trim sent loose for field attachment.

General Construction

  • All casework parts are accurately machined and fit for square cases. Case joints are doweled and glued with a polyvinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesive (whtie glue). All cabinet backs are dadoed, glued once with white glue and a second time with a hot melt adhesive at all four sides then screwed to case tops.
